MEREDITH is wine with heart. We aim to be practitioners working with conscience. We strive to be winemakers doing right by people and our planet.
To recognise and acknowledge the deep-rooted history of white supremacy, settler colonialism, and cis-hetero-centrism in the winemaking industry of Australia.
To conduct our business in a way that addresses intersectional oppression, respects the rights of workers, and supports environmental sustainability.
We believe that these commitments are essential to building a better future for all. We are committed to taking action and holding ourselves accountable for our progress.
To educate ourselves and our community about this history, striving to understand and magnify the long-lasting impacts on First Nations communities and their relationship with their land.
To work in solidarity with First Nations peoples to create a more just and equitable wine industry.
We invite others in the wine industry to join us in this pledge. Together, we can create a more just and sustainable wine industry for all.

At MEREDITH we understand that the history of winemaking is rooted in the destruction of the land and culture of First Nations people.

At MEREDITH we stand for equitable treatment of all people regardless of race, gender, sexuality, ability, age, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic status, body size, history of incarceration and any other identity.

At MEREDITH we continuously strive to recognise our privilege within society and encourage other winemakers and consumers to do the same. Acknowledging our privilege is an imperative step in working toward dismantling systems of oppression.

At MEREDITH we endeavour to fulfil this part of our pledge through our financial support of ‘Change the Record’ — Australia’s only First Nations-led justice coalition of legal, health and family violence prevention experts. Their mission is to end the incarceration of, and family violence against, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

At MEREDITH we are committed to ethical treatment of all of our workers. At this point, we do not employ any full-time workers. However, we ensure anyone engaged in all aspects of work completed within our business is fairly compensated.

At MEREDITH we recognise climate change as an issue of environmental and social justice. It’s a matter that affects all of us but the impacts are not evenly distributed. We choose the gentlest route we can. We support organic farmers and opt for lightweight recycled packaging. Reduce and reuse is our motto.
